Alliance Healthcare in Norway - February 21, 2022

Alliance Healthcare Norge Apotekdrift AS (AHN Apotekdrift) is acquiring the part of Mediq Norge AS that includes sales of and guidance within medical consumables and nutrition to private individuals in the Norwegian market, Mediq Direkte.

AHN Apotekdrift AS already has a medical supplies business through its concept and strategic focus through its Boots HomeCare function but the acquisition of Mediq Direkte will strengthen this business area further.  With guidance activities for prescription customers within the categories of nutrition, stoma, catheter, incontinence and wound treatment as the main focus, Mediq Norway, for its part, will refine its B2B business.

AHN Apotekdrift AS will welcome Mediq Direkte's employees, and thereby further strengthen its team with product specialists with expertise in the area. The acquisition was approved by the Norwegian Competition Authority on 31 January 2022.
